About Lisa Picarille
I’m an online content strategist, who also consults on a variety of issues including online marketing, branding, and social media.
I am currently working on a book (The Ultimate Pitch: 17 sure-fire strategies to get exactly what you want in work & life) with co-author Jim Kukral to be published by John Wiley & Sons in 2011. As a program faculty member of the University of San Francisco Online, I teach Internet marketing classes.
I co-host the popular Affiliate Thing podcast with Affiliate Summit co-founder Shawn Collins and also regularly host The Performance Marketing Association Industry Report podcast and AffPlan.com’s Affiliate Strategies Session.
As a founding board member of the Performance Marketing Association, I am actively involved in fighting the advertising nexus tax and act as the strategist for the PMA.
Previously, I was the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Revenue Magazine. I am a veteran journalist who began my career more than 20 years ago as a professional sports writer in Boston and has also headed the news departments of major high tech news organizations including Wired.com, TechWeb.com, TechTV.com and CRN.com. My work has also appeared in Rolling Stone, CRM Magazine, PCWeek, MacWeek, Computerworld and InfoWorld.
I’m a frequent speaker at industry conferences including Ad:Tech, Online Market World, the LinkShare Symposium, Affiliate Summit, Web 2.0, BlogWorld & New Media Expo, eComXpo, and the Social Media Marketing Summit.
I am also the 2008 winner of LinkShare’s Golden Link Award for Most Vocal Performance Marketing Advocate; runner up for LinkShare’s Most Vocal Performance Marketing Advocate in 2007; and runner up for Affiliate Summit’s Blogger of the Year Pinnacle Award in 2008.
